Place a Phone icon and Promo code ( listing ID ) on the webpage. The phone icon is a nice visual and you can place the promo code right next to it. The promo code will identify the search engine and keyword. Each promo code can be dynamically generated. Then, require the call-center to ask for the promo code. The way to do this is to place all your keywods in a database then assign them an ID, then when the user clicks on the google url, it will attach a string like keyword=12345. Same for Yahoo.

Keyword Analysis and Research
May 11, 2006 by Dane | 0 Comments
One-word keywords are highly competitive and harder to rank in the SERP’s than 2+ keyword phrases. One word keywords are typically broad, and generic, and attract a wide range of audience. Which means some of your website visitors won’t be so targeted, and possibly not interested in your product/service offering. Additionally, most of the time when a visitor types in a one-word keyword, they are not as close to actually buying something, as someone who types in a longer keyword phrase. They are just doing research. As opposed to a searcher that typed in a longer phrase, and lands on a inner page deep withing your site. Typically, that visitor is further along in the buying cycle, and much more apt to convert. So, when optimizing your inner pages, think phrases, not single words.

Email Marketing: Subject Lines That Produce Opens
May 9, 2006 by Dane | 1 Comment
Her post centers on a recent study undertaken by MailChimp, who have some equally excellent things to say on the subject. MailChimp analyzed 40 million emails and show a handful that enjoyed high open rates and another that showed dismal results.Whether the reader will be surprised by the outcome will, of course, depend heavily on expectations. But whatever your view, the results almost speak for themselves.
Simple and direct wins, hands down.
